Yes, that sounds good.

I've got a new hobby, and it's less expensive than
owning 5 scooters. I've been collecting vintage pocket watches.
Yes vintage lol.

Depending on quality and rarity, they could be more expensive.

RE: Depending on quality and rarity, they could be more expensive.

Luckily on ebay many times people don't know what they have
or list it poorly, and I get both rare and valuable for
a song.

So, has Facebook(only somewhat kidding) finely killed the NY, NJ scooter scene. Or, is everyone
planning rides for spring, talking about scooters, the next scooter they are going to buy, or bought,
arguing about modern vs vintage, Chinese vs non Chinese, Honda vs Piaggio,
Low CC vs High CC,...................
........
..........or are they just posting somebody else's vid's and photos to get likes.

Rod PM me a clear photo of the front back and inside(the movement)

And yes I have purchased 2 gold ones that weren't
working for almost nothing, and have a friend
that fixes them for me for less than lunch for two
The broken ones(really no such thing as unfixable many times just need a cleaning)
can go for low prices if listed wrong, bad photos,
the auction goes off early in the morning etc

You would be surprised.

It seems that PTW(powered two wheel vehicle) riders collected and wore these
In he 50's.

ACTUALLY, Facebook hasn't "finally" killed the NY/NJ scooter scene. We've managed a few get togethers in this non-riding season and will begin to post ride opportunities as soon as the weather turns in our favor.

MOST of the NY scooter community seems to have moved on to other pursuits, like getting married, having babies and raising them. Some have had major life changing events that have kept them off the scooter scene, accidents and health issues, but no worries, even being temporarily scooter-less hasn't invalidated friendships or camaraderie for some.

Obviously Facebook didn't ruin it for you, you are a Facebook groopie
It ruined it for the people who would rather not use it, and you may
not believe it, but there are more than you think. Sorry.
And I know that scootering was a fad for many it wasn't fbook, but, there are
still tons on vintage scooter rally's out there.

And while I'm on a roll, it's so nice not to deal with all the
a holes and drama that went on over the years (here and there) with all the
over inflated egos, and drama scooter clubs/forums (with all their stupid rules).
I always thought that stuff was left behind in high school.

....and the people who couldn't talk about anything but scooters.

Lol :D hope to see people on the road this summer

What garbage dump did you drag that video out from '
I don't do facebook after my wife telling me about the trash our granddaughters put up on it
But the record speaks for itself in the closing down or dying off of scooter clubs around the world
Miami
Westside
Absolute
Vespa Ireland
Magneto NZ
Vespa Canada
and dozens more
Ok there may have been a shift in interest by riders but FB hasn't helped
Whats happened to Jinxed and Backroads clubs
Typical attitude --don't worry someone else might fix it
