Althought not a scooter, this is a masterpiece of cycling art and engineering:

Is there a website of that maker's work?

Turtle, the custom bicycle industry here is composed primarily of small groups of individuals that build these works. It isn’t rare for there to be a “one-off” built and in some cases, that one-off is literally the only one built by the group or individuals.

In answer to your question though, no, I haven’t been able to find River Bend Bicycles’ website (assuming of course, one exists). The source was this Dutch website I use for inspiration for the custom builds of my bicycles: http://www.choppernewsnetwork.com/ and some of the other websites used:

Netherlands:
http://www.thechopperdome.nl/

Gent, Belgium:
http://www.chopperdomegent.be/welcome.html

Paris, France:
http://www.chopperdomeparis.com/

The European custom bicycle cruiser scene is prolific in design, product development and proof of concept numbers, they are equal to and in some cases have surpassed California in influence; however, it was the Californian’s that started it all!

Nice lug work. Can't get that attention to detail on carbon.

That's beautiful! (above)

Not sure where this one should go... I hope no one minds if I add it here since it does have working pedals

This is the Erockit:
Image

According to the New Cafe Racer Society Blog ( http://thenewcaferacersociety.blogspot.com/ ) it:
Quote:
is capable of going fifty miles per hour and reportedly has strong acceleration. The range can be extended by pedaling along, though your strokes don't actually ever make it to the wheels in a conventional way. Instead, your legs turn a small generator which adds a bit of juice to the battery.

Turtle, there is no doubt the Erockit has possibilities as a functional and practical Fuel Cell means of transportation in the very near future.

It is IMHO the fusion of a bicycle and motorcycle w/o it being a moped!
