Razzi, I'm saying to please consider this: If the bike never swerves, maybe there is no accident.

Now if you want to duel with knives, fine. But why not up the ante a little? Flaming chainsaws.

Gentlemen – how about if the both of you find out what his name is, what hospital he is staying in and send him a get-well card?

That's a nice thought, and if he wasn't taped swerving between lanes, I might agree. But if that's true, he's an idiot, and could have gotten others killed in addition to himself. He's very lucky. He doesn't need a get well card, he needs a DMV ban from ever riding on two wheels again.

Sure, we've all made dumb mistakes, myself included. But how many have led to this? We all know who these guys are -- hot dogging around town, impatient, swerving through traffic at high speed. I curse when I see those guys because they really do ruin it for the rest of us.

just start with dear idiot,

Don’t allow Mara’s element of pride to enter the dialogue, for regret will most assuredly be the outcome.

"One NJ Transit bus rear-ended another at around 7:26 a.m., pushing it into weaving biker Keith Nystrom, after he cut off the front bus in the New York-bound center tube about a quarter-mile from the Manhattan side, witnesses said. Nystrom, 46, of Wayne, NJ, was pulled underneath the bus and pinned against the roadway.

"Nystrom broke both legs and an arm, according to a Facebook posting from his friend Jonathan Aldom. It also quoted Nystrom's wife, Lisa, saying a CAT-scan showed no internal injuries."

Well that is different than first reported and thus, yes you are right and I am wrong. But, again my point only being about how close those buses are usually and that is from experience. And, also shown by the bus stopping short for the weaving biker and getting hit by the other bus in the back. All ancillary of course to the main issue which is the biker causing the accident which is now obvious.

Who knows if this report is even correct. We'll have to see what the final investigation says. At any rate, everyone loses on this one I think.

While Hurley admitted that Nystrom was shouldn’t have been in the bus lane, the suit alleged that the first bus driver in the chain of collisions, who was traveling a proper speed of about 35 mph, never put his foot on the brake prior to impact. Hurley said the driver has admitted that. “He was a distracted driver allegedly looking in his right rear view mirror and never saw the bus in front of him stop,” Hurley said.
