Ok i got a 78 and a 80 honda express mopeds the other day i cant get anything electronic14-8-2-185 to work turn signals,horn, and no spark battery has 3.5 volts enough i know to at least make turn signals work and i know it is a 6 volt battery system And i do know u gotta have a battery for it to run anyway but im stuck cant figure out why it wont do anything i checked to make sure it has good connection on coil and stator and it does also has a good ground on motor any help appreciated

It does not need a battery for the engine to run. It does need a battery for the signal lights and horn. Did you buy a new battery?

No i did not but your the first person to tell me i didnt need a battery for it to run

We sold hundreds of Honda 50's back in the day. They were only $299!!

If you get it to start and run it long enough with a bad battery you'll blow out all of the lights starting with the very expensive head

A proper carb cleaning will get it running. Replace the battery first.
